Welcome to SchoolTime Pro, developed by Gliders Tech. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using SchoolTime Pro, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- School Information: School name, academic year, and period configuration settings.
- Teacher Information: Teacher names and subject assignments entered by the administrator.
- Class & Subject Data: Class names, subject names, and periods-per-week settings.
- Timetable Data: Period assignments, substitute entries, and scheduling configurations.
- Login Credentials: Email address and password if using email/password login, or Google account information if using Google Sign-In.
Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version used for crash diagnostics only.
- App Usage Data: Basic usage patterns to improve app performance. No personally identifiable information is included.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect student personal information, financial data, contacts, camera, microphone, or location data. We do not track your activity outside the application.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide core app functionality: generate timetables, manage teacher and class data, and handle schedule conflicts.
- Authentication: verify user identity through email/password or Google Sign-In to distinguish Admin, HOD, and Teacher roles.
- Backup & Restore: allow you to back up your school data and restore it when needed.
- PDF Export: generate timetable PDFs from your school data stored on your device.
- Improve the App: diagnose bugs and crashes using anonymized device diagnostics.
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or selling to third parties.
Data Storage
Local Storage
All school data — including teacher records, class records, subjects, and timetable entries — is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly use the Backup feature.
Cloud Authentication
If you sign in using Google Sign-In or email/password, your authentication credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). Firebase stores only your email address and a hashed identifier for login purposes.
Backup Data
When you use the Backup & Restore feature, your data is saved to a file on your device's local storage or a location you choose. We do not automatically upload backup files to any external server.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) for user login management.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or a valid legal process.
- Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
User Roles & Access Control
- Admin: Full access to all features including school setup, teacher management, timetable generation, backup, and settings.
- HOD (Head of Department): Limited access as defined by the Admin.
- Teacher: View-only access to timetable data. Cannot modify school settings or configurations.

Children's Privacy
SchoolTime Pro is intended for use by school administrators and teachers only. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The application does not store any student personal data.
Data Security
- Local data is stored in a private app database inaccessible to other apps on your device.
- Authentication is handled by Firebase with industry-standard encryption.
- We recommend using device-level screen locks and secure passwords.
Your Rights
- Access: View the data stored within the application.
- Delete: Remove all app data by uninstalling the application.
- Export: Use PDF Export or Backup features to retrieve your data.
- Revoke: Remove Google Sign-In access via your Google account settings.
Data Retention
Data stored locally on your device is retained until you manually delete it, uninstall the application, or perform a factory reset. Firebase authentication data is retained until you delete your account or revoke access.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
